Nasim Dimassi – Assistant Project Manager
What is the most exciting thing about working in this business?
In the construction industry, you will find that your relationship with someone can help you in many different ways. Personally, I believe that meeting new people, figuring out how they work, and developing a professional relationship with them is the most exciting thing about this business. The greatest trait about people is that we are all different. Once you begin to understand the other person, everything becomes easier and your relationship with them gets stronger.
What is your philosophy about giving back to the community?
Growing up, I was always involved in volunteer programs. Whether it was through school or extracurricular activities, I always found time to give back. As an eagle scout and through my education, I was constantly reminded of the importance of helping those not fortunate enough to have been given the same guidance in their lives. My philosophy of giving back to the community wraps around the idea that when you give, it will always come back to you in some way, shape, or form.
Name a technology innovation that has made an impact in construction or an area where there are opportunities for innovation.
There are two technology innovations that I have come to use more and more on an everyday basis. The first being Procore, which has allowed me to not only organize my projects, but make it much easier to share information with anyone involved in a project. As a company, we are pushing to make Procore the base of all projects going forward. The second innovation is an app on your cell phone that allows you to measure anything using your camera. This is very convenient when you need to measure something quickly and accurately without a tape measure. These innovations are important to our growth as a company because we feel strongly about adapting to the technological advances in the industry.

Having a name like Nasim always sparks the question: “So where are you from?” My name was given to me by my parents who are from different parts of the world. My father is from Lebanon and my mother from Mexico. Both were born and raised in their respective countries, which has allowed me to compare and relate many different aspects of their cultures. One thing that has had an impact on my life is their obsession with sports. I can sit down with anyone and talk all day about football, basketball, soccer, golf, you name it. Personally, I believe sports are much more than just entertainment. I enjoyed athletics growing up because of the many different life lessons you learn in practice and on the field, the most important being discipline. If you look around all the professional leagues, the majority of the best athletes are always the most disciplined. Going forward, I plan on using the lessons I’ve learned through athletics in order to further myself and my career.
