What is the most exciting thing about working in this business? The most exciting thing about working for The Crowther Group is the standard of excellence with the human touch of family; the Crowther Group cares. Communication is a top priority displayed in the many meetings. From employees to contract workers to clients, it’s important to The Crowther Group that we’ve communicated well the direction we are going and how we’re getting there. I’m also impressed with the mentorship program here. It’s one of many ways we contribute as a culture of The Crowther Group. From the top-down, we not only give mentoring but receive it. We are open to learning more about how to better ourselves. From how we communicate with our clients and contractors, including our advisors and our own Crowther Family Dynamic, we’re always asking, how can we do this better? And..we’re listening. What is your philosophy about giving back to the community? Whether it’s a kind word of encouragement, hands-on volunteering, or standing for charitable causes, there is nothing more rewarding than knowing somehow I can touch another life with something I have, myself, and my time. The greatest gift one can give. This is what it means to be part of the “Heart of a Community.” It’s a reminder that we are in this together and not alone in the challenges that cross our paths. It’s inspiring to know there are those who are unselfish enough to move on the stirrings of the heart and give back to the community what has been given to us at some point. Kindness, support, and encouragement require heart, and that is what keeps us human.
Name a technology innovation that has made an impact in construction or an area where there are opportunities for innovation. The most obvious technology innovation that has impacted every area of our lives is internet access, connecting us via our smartphones, tablets and laptops. Communication and connectivity are essential to the efficiency of working with our clients. Connecting at any time and making changes as changes come is invaluable while meeting all areas of the projects’ immediate needs. An area where there are opportunities for innovation is the future world of technology. Bringing drones into the picture and the future benefits of VR will enhance our ability to communicate using these advanced tools while demonstrating to our clients and team the potential and progress we make along the way. Staying on top of current technology gives us an edge in the construction world. Keeping lines of communication with access to the modern tools of the web is part of our success at The Crowther Group.
