Crowther Lean’s Into P-TECH and Early College High School/Collegiate Partnerships
The Crowther Group Celebrates Partnership with P-TECH & Dallas Independent School District
The Crowther Group is proud to recognize its ongoing partnership with the P-TECH program and the Dallas Independent School District (DISD).
Thomas Crowther shared, “Our dedication to investing in our local communities and recruiting the next generation of driven construction leaders, such as Jesus Rivera, marks an exhilarating phase in our company’s journey.”
Meet Jesus Rivera
Jesus Rivera, a Project Engineer at Crowther, is a shining example of the P-TECH program’s impact. A graduate of H. Grady Spruce High School, Jesus continued his educational journey through the P-TECH program at Dallas College Eastfield campus. He is now pursuing a degree in construction management at the University of Texas at Arlington, with graduation set for May 2025.
About P-TECH
Established in 2010, the Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH) program has expanded to over 300 schools across the U.S. and globally. In Dallas, DISD has 18 designated P-TECH campuses. This innovative program aims to:
-Address the global “skills gap” and enhance regional economies by cultivating a workforce equipped with the academic, technical, and professional skills necessary for “new-collar” jobs.
-Provide underserved youth with unique educational opportunities, creating direct pathways to college and career readiness.
P-TECH schools are open-enrollment high schools that enable students—especially those who might not otherwise pursue higher education—to earn both a high school diploma and a credential or associate degree. The program emphasizes career readiness and includes essential work-based education.
At Crowther, we are excited to support initiatives like P-TECH that empower the next generation of leaders in construction and beyond.
