The Crowther Group serves the Dallas community with hands-on outreach at least twice a year, typically in June after school is out and hungry children no longer have school lunches to tide them over, and at Thanksgiving when we give thanks for our many blessings. This Thanksgiving , we worked with the North Texas Food Bank to distribute fresh produce at the Martin Luther King community center. The Food Bank had a truck on site and tables set up to fill bags and boxes for everyone in line. The Crowther Group had three team members working with other volunteers to greet their guests. Happy Thanksgiving wishes were exchanged and the dinners of those in need were improved with fresh, nutritious fruits and vegetables.
