Thomas Crowther Inducted to Dallas Rotary Club Foundation Board

The Dallas Rotary Club Foundation, a non-profit agency of The Rotary Club of Dallas established in 1954, has added Thomas Crowther to the Foundation’s Board of Trustees.  Mr. Crowther is the CEO/Managing Partner of The Crowther Group, a Dallas-based Commercial General Contracting firm.  He has been an active member of The Rotary Club of Dallas participating on various committees and community service events.

“Being on the Board of a Rotary Foundation is a childhood dream.  Growing up in The Bahamas, I remember what an inspiration Rotary was in our community.  Rotary provided scholarships and leadership in the community,” said Mr. Crowther.  “Being a member of The Rotary Club of Dallas, the first Rotary Club in Texas and the 39th club in Rotary, is an honor.   The Dallas Rotary’s impact locally and across the globe through Rotary International, is something I am especially proud of.  The Rotary Foundation aligns with our organization’s core values of “Service above Self” and I look forward to being a part of Rotarians good works for many years to come!”

The Crowther Group launched in March 2017 and currently partnering on construction projects for Fortune 500 organizations like Target Corporation, AT&T, and Core-Mark International. The firm already has a strong pipe-line for projects exceeding $100 million over the next 3 years in Healthcare and Retail Construction Sectors for other well-known local and global brands.  As a 100% African-American owned general contracting firm, their business strategy, like Rotary, is steeped in Service.  The Crowther Group team serves the community through active involvement in Rotary, The Dallas Regional Chamber, Dallas ISD Pathway to Technology Early College High School Programs, National Association of Minority Contractors as well as many local charitable organizations.

The Dallas Rotary Club Foundation serves as the philanthropic arm to The Rotary Club of Dallas and to help it reach its mission. Among other activities, the Board of The Dallas Rotary Foundation governs loans from their Trust Fund to qualified students for college, post-graduate and professional study including.

1. Providing grants to student nurses training in Dallas Hospitals and one grant annually to a foreign student for study in a Dallas Educational Institution, these grants to be made as funds became available from interest.

2. Providing revenue from interest to support Rotary participation in selected local projects.
